Cliniko Integration

This article explains how to integrate TeleHab with the practice management system, Cliniko.

INTEGRATING WITH AN API KEY FROM CLINIKO

Step 1:  Log in to your Cliniko account.

Step 2: Click on the "My info" tab at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Scroll down to the API key section and click on the "Manage API keys" button.

Step 4: Click on the "Add an API key" button. 

Step 5: Type in a name for the API key and click the "Create API key" button. 

Step 6: Copy the API key and open up TeleHab.

Step 7: Click on the settings tab in TeleHab. 

Step 8: Open the "Software integration" page and paste the API key into the text box and click "Save."

Note: You must have user permissions for TeleHab PMS/EMR link, to access the software integration page. 

Step 9: You will receive a message if your integration settings are saved successfully. 

If integration fails, wait a brief moment and try again. If this fails, please create another API key and try again. After you create a 2nd API key, if you are unable to save integrations again please contact support@valdhealth.com.

IMPORTING A PATIENT LIST FROM CLINIKO

Step 1:  Once you have successfully integrated with Cliniko, click the "Sync patients" button.

Step 2: Patients from Cliniko will be listed with patients with errors appearing at the top of each page.

It is recommended that you edit these errors in Cliniko as updates in TeleHab will be overwritten by patient details in Cliniko in future updates. You don’t need to edit these errors immediately. TeleHab will save the patients that failed to sync that you can choose to update at a later date.

Step 3: Click Start sync. Depending on the number of clients you're importing, this may take several minutes.

Step 4: Once this is completed the number of patients synced and failed entries will be listed.

Click the "Go to Cliniko" button to open the individual patient page in Cliniko so that the client’s details can be edited to allow their profile to sync with TeleHab.

Step 5: Click the X button to close the results screen if you do not want to fix these patient details immediately.

Step 6: Click the Go back button to return to the software integration page where you can open the failed sync list, change integration settings and read further integration instructions.

Step 7: You can also update your TeleHab client list in the Clients page, by clicking the sync button at the top of the page. Only new or updated clients will be synced during this process.

CREATING AN OPEN TELEHAB BUTTON IN CLINIKO

Step 1:  Open Cliniko and click on the "Settings" tab.

Step 2: Under the Our clinic section click "Integrations."

Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the Integrations page to the Connected patient apps section.

Step 4: Type in TeleHab into the App name text box (this will be the name of the button that appears in Cliniko).

Step 5: Enter https://app.telehab.io/app/patients/integration in the App URL text box and click the Save connected patient apps button.

Step 6: Open a Patient profile in Cliniko and click the Open in button in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Step 7: Click the TeleHab button and your patient profile will open in TeleHab.

Note: The patient page will only open if you are logged in to TeleHab. If you are not currently logged in to TeleHab you will be asked to log in to TeleHab.
